The collection consists of 3 receipt books (1742/3-1754, 1762-1772, and 1765-1774) recording business, farm, and private expenses by Bayard and his father, Nicholas Bayard, Sr. (1698-1766); 1 receipt and memorandum book (1766-1771) containing miscellaneous entries; and 1 letter book (April-December, 1763) containing copies of 32 letters sent by Bayard, Jr., pertaining mostly to his import business and his interest in gardening and farming.
